Tom Gray

Tom Gray is the founder and leader of the Telecom Expert Group. Formerly a Vice President with Ameritech, Belgacom, and FLAG Telecom, he has 40 years experience in US and international telecom general management, strategy, organization, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, product development, customer service and operations.

He was Interim CEO of Warwick Valley Telephone Company, and Interim Managing Director of Mooney Airplane Company. Both of these are public companies, and he served on the Board of directors of both companies.

He was selected by Ameritech to be the team leader for its international acquisitions, including operations-focused due diligence, leadership of the deal team, and responsibility for the financial success of selected acquisitions.

His international experience was gained in China, Dubai, Bulgaria, Serbia, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, Belgium, Austria, England, and Canada. His experience with small business operations was earned as Chairman and CEO of iTravelPartners, a Florida-based golf travel firm, Managing Director of Mooney Airplane Company, and consultant to numerous small firms in the Chicago area.

A member of the Turnaround Management Association, Gray is a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). He also teaches Leadership, Strategy, Capstone Experience, Marketing, Operations Management, and Organizational Behavior for the MBA Programs of Benedictine University, Lisle, IL and Concordia University - Chicago, in River Forest, IL.
